Really easy entertaining ideas for the holiday and festive season. Ideas that are quick, don't need a lot of ingredients and taste and look great!
When life is busy...and I mean hectic... it is good to have a couple of ideas for really easy entertaining, ready to go, especially around the holiday and festive time of the year.
The type of ideas that don't need a lot of ingredients, or ones where you don't have to visit lots of different shops to get the ingredients or that take hours to make...but do look good and taste great!
I am going to jump right in with just a few so that it doesn't take too long for you to go...oh! yes I could do that!
(Oh! ...bonus...they are all gluten free! 🙂 )
Rockmelon, Prosciutto and Basil Appetisers
So very easy and full of taste and flavour...and they look pretty too!
You could use a melon baller to quickly scoop out the melon balls...but I use a cake corer.
Simply slice the rockmelon and then use the cake corer to cut out the little rounds. The best part is that the base of the melon is flat so they stand up on the serving plate!
On a toothpick, slide on a little fresh basil leaf, sliced prosciutto and then the rockmelon and line up on a platter. Keep in the fridge till serving.
Fresh, colourful, delicious and quick!
