An easy recipe for delicious dark chocolate fudge filled with walnuts. No baking required, it is gluten free and only takes 5 ingredients!!
This is one of those recipes that has saved me many times, when I have needed to go to friend's homes and I need to take something and I don't have much time. This recipe for Easy Dark Chocolate Fudge takes 5 ingredients and it only takes 5 minutes to make (and takes only 30 mins to set in the fridge.)...an easy and delicious dark chocolate fudge that is perfect for the holiday season.
This fudge is a great recipe for the Christmas season especially when you need to go to neighbours to take for christmas drinks, to give as gifts or even just to indulge in yourself. 😉
It is sooooo easy... it is one of those recipes that everyone goes "Oh! love that fudge ...and I need to have that recipe!". Little do they know that it is so easy, 5 ingredients, 5 minutes and the hard work is done! (great way to make new friends with this fudge.... ;-))
and you can always add other ingredients like peppermint, or crushed candy canes for the Christmas season or for other times of the year add in other types of nuts (peanuts are great too) or dried fruit and ...the list goes on!
And the 5 ingredients are....... (add 'drum roll' please....)
- 1 cup of dark chocolate bits (cooking chocolate pieces)
- ½ cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 50g of chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
And the 5 minute steps are.....
Method
- In a medium microwave bowl, add in the dark chocolate bits, water and sweetened condensed milk. Stir to combine.
- In a microwave heat the chocolate mixture for 30 seconds and stir and then microwave again for 30 seconds and stir. It may need just a little more - till the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- In a mortar and pestle, crush the walnuts or chop them on a chopping board.
- Add the walnuts and vanilla and stir to combine.
- Spread onto baking paper or foil on a tray and shape into a square shape (it is easy to cut this way) and place in the fridge for 30 mins or until firm.
I really want to call this Easy Peasy Fudge....but it just doesn't do it justice... so Easy Dark Chocolate Fudge sounds more fancy! 🙂
Recipe for Easy Dark Chocolate Fudge
