6 easy ways to be a little more confident - to build your self-esteem and be able to take on whatever comes your way!

6 ways to be a little more confident!

How you feel about yourself can play such as big part in how you live your life - what you do, where you live and even who you are with!

Having that 'positive' feeling helps when trying new activities, making important decisions, going for a new job or even just meeting new people.

From experience, I know there are times when life can feel like a 'roller coaster' - full of ups and downs, sharps turn, steep climbs and scary moments!

6 ways to feel a little more confident

For someone who dislikes heights (.... opps I should say...hates heights!)   😁 ...  sometimes the roller coaster can change the way you feel and therefore act.

There are some days that we feel more confident than others, depending on whats going on around us.

Of course there is always that fine line about appearing too confident and being arrogant... (we all have met those types of people.)

Often a little parcel of self-belief can do wonders for your self-esteem. It allow us to tackle the roller coaster and then even go back on again for another turn.

Improving your confidence can help overcome fears, build successes and increase opportunities!

It is simply a way to feel great!

Here are 6 easy ways to build, boost and support your confidence... go on ... you deserve it!

6 Easy Ways to Be A little More Confident!

    Good Posture!

Good posture and standing up straight is a simple way to look and feel more confident and it is an instant mood lift!

When you stand tall, look forward with shoulders relaxed and open, it can make you feel more confident.

The best part is that it is something that you can start right away. You will be amazed at the difference it can make to how you feel when you stand up straight.

    Don't Compare Yourself to Others!

You are right where you need to be in your life!

Everyone has a different past, experience and journey to get them where they are right now. The easiest way to reduce your confidence is to compare your life, situation or experience to someone else's life.

To boost your confidence simply don't judge yourself by comparing yourself to others.

Everyone has their own journey and their own story. There is that old saying that goes something like.... "don't compare oranges and apples, they are both fruit, just different"

It is fine to take inspiration from others but embrace your own journey!

6 easy ways to be a little more confident!

    Physical Exercise

Have you ever been for a morning walk and come back and felt ready to take on one of those hard jobs, or made a decision about something that has been worrying you or even just felt you can do more?

It doesn't need to be much but doing some sort of physical exercise like simply going for a walk, can boost your endorphin levels and blood flow.

This will boost your self-belief in your ability.  Going for a walk or doing some physical activity will help move the blood around your body. It will also give you a healthy glow and build confidence in your appearance.

    Being Organised

Taking the time on a Sunday afternoon to be organised and be ready for the week, can make such a big difference to how you feel.

Not being organised can make you feel frazzled, overwhelmed and will lead to a lack of confidence. Being organised and knowing where things are can help to reduce stress, give a sense of calm and build confidence!

Simple things like knowing what appointments you have on in the week to having clothes washed and ready.

Reducing stress around the little things, can lead to having more time, clearer head space and more confidence.

    Know your Strengths

Understanding that there is no-one in the world that knows everything. We all have things that we are good at and other things that we are still learning.

Reminding yourself when your confidence is low, of your successes, strengths and areas where you have achieved and succeeded, can help to build your confidence.

    Confidence has an uplifting effect!

Little by little it can build up.  If you know your strengths and recognise your successes, you will notice how you start to feel more confident .... about the person that your are and where you can go!

    Just saying Yes!

Not everyone has outgoing personalities that can take on challenge after challenge.

Life is full of ups and downs and they aren't always spread out evenly.

A little way to start building confidence and opportunities is to allocate a week to just saying 'yes'! If a week is too big, then just try one day.

It might be as simple as saying yes to a coffee with a friend, trying a new activity, taking the time for a little indulgence for yourself, doing something different.... spontaneously just saying yes! 😃

Allocating some time where it is your choice to say 'yes' will stop procrastinating and it won't allow time for fear to build up.

Walking around knowing that your feeling good about yourself, can build self-esteem and build your confidence and your potential!

That tiny feeling of adventure will make you feel great!
