The basket has holes in the sides which is perfect to thread through ribbon and string. The trick is to make sure that the ribbons can roll on a bar/rod, so you can just pull on the ribbon you want and it comes out easily.

To finish off the basket, I needed the rod for the ribbons . After a little bit of searching at home I found the perfect thing... Chop Sticks!!
They fit the length of the basket and the ribbons could roll on them.
To make sure they didn't come out I used hair ties (you would probably use rubber bands but could only find hair ties at my house...) and I wrapped them around each end of the chop stick (or you might use a piece of dowel/rod) then I thread the ribbon rolls on!
