Do you have one of those days, when just a little ‘treat’ can make make the day better… and it doesn’t need to be expensive or fancy. Recently I had one of those days and needed a little pick me up… and all it needed to be was an inexpensive bottle of nail polish in a vibrant colour!
It is funny how a splash of colour on your fingers and toes can make you feel polished and ready to take on the world!
So after getting a little bit of colour into my world, I realised that it didn’t take much to add a bit of glamour, especially if nail polishes were close at hand. (…pun intended 😉 )
Even though the black finish was coming off…they were destined to do something better!
They would be perfect for storing and organising nail polishes! I know it is great when a thrifty and crafty ideas just comes to mind….got to go with it …right!

Second Step… then I simply sprayed them with metallic silver spray paint! …got to love spray paint!
I used British Paints – Spray Easy, Quick drying Enamel. It is a quick drying multipurpose enamel that has a hardwearing finish on metal. wood and brick. It drys to a smooth finish and can be used on a range of projects. I have also used this paint on some old frames!
One coat was all that was needed and they sat outside drying in the sun for the next 2 days. ...just to make sure they were dry not because I forgot about them!
