Do you have one of those days, when just a little 'treat' can make make the day better... and it doesn't need to be expensive or fancy. Recently I had one of those days and needed a little pick me up... and all it needed to be was an inexpensive bottle of nail polish in a vibrant colour!

It is funny how a splash of colour on your fingers and toes can make you feel polished and ready to take on the world!

So after getting a little bit of colour into my world, I realised that it didn't take much to add a bit of glamour, especially if nail polishes were close at hand. (...pun intended 😉 )

 Even though the black finish was coming off...they were destined to do something better!

They would be perfect for storing and organising nail polishes! I know it is great when a thrifty and crafty ideas just comes to mind....got to go with it ...right! 

How to DIY From Candle Holders to Storing and Organising Nail Polishes!

First step, I gave them a really good clean in hot soapy water to remove the left over wax and then I removed the black plastic finish. It came off easier than I thought... bonus!

Second Step... then I simply sprayed them with metallic silver spray paint! ...got to love spray paint!

 I used British Paints - Spray Easy, Quick drying Enamel. It is a quick drying multipurpose enamel that has a hardwearing finish on metal. wood and brick. It drys to a smooth finish and can be used on a range of projects. I have also used this paint on some old frames!

One coat was all that was needed and they sat outside drying in the sun for the next 2 days. ...just to make sure they were dry not because I forgot about them! 

So now I store my nail polishes all in one place on my dresser.... so whenever I need a little pick me up, they are there in all their colour, ready to be used!
