Gluten Free, Egg Free Chocolate Waffles!

Serves: 6
  • 1 cup of Self Raising Gluten Free Flour
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
  • 1 cup of milk ( we use almond milk)
  • 75g of melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon of Nutella
  1. Preheat the waffle maker.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder and salt
  3. In a microwave bowl, melt the butter and then while it is warm add in the tablespoon of Nutella, the sugar and vanilla and stir
  4. Add in the milk to the flour mixture and then the butter/Nutella mixture and whisk together.
  5. Spoon mixture into the waffle maker (For my waffle maker - two tablespoons of mixture makes one waffle)
  6. Cook for 4 minutes (or until it is ready) and remove from the waffle maker onto a plate. (Do not cover as you want the waffles to stay crispy)
  7. Serve with berries, melted chocolate and sprinkle with icing sugar.. (and ice-cream and cream if you really want to indulge!!)
