a drop or 2 of vanilla or a small squeeze of lemon, or a drizzle of honey to flavour the yoghurt
3 tablespoons of toasted sliced almonds
½ cup of fresh or frozen mixed berries
½ large banana
1 teaspoon of chocolate bits
a drizzle of honey - to your liking.
...and one very, special, tall glass and a long handled spoon!! ;-)
Instructions
Spray the frypan with spray olive oil and on a low heat, add in the sliced almonds and toast them till some of them are just starting to turn brown.
TIP - Toss the almonds in the frypan regularly so they don't burn! Turn off the heat and remove from the frypan onto a clean, dry plate till they are cool.
Add 3 large dollops of greek yoghurt to the base of a tall glass and swirl though a drop or two of vanilla (or lemon if you prefer a tangy flavour)
Then layer with fresh berries (or frozen ones - Tip just make sure they thaw out on a plate first)
Then sprinkle with the toasted almonds ( and a few dark chocolate bits....just because!!)
Top with sliced banana. Tip - To get the bananas to stand tall, simply cut each banana slice on a diagonal angle, not straight across.
Then sprinkle over the bananas more of the toasted almonds and drizzle with a little amount of honey. This part is optional if you don't want a sweeter breakfast)
