The easy way to make a delicious and comforting home-cooked meal - Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala!
In our home we love curries...especially when they are slowly cooked and the smell of it bubbling away fills the house with delicious aromas. Tikka Masala is just one of those curries that we all love, comforting, filling and oh! ... so tasty!
Chicken Tikka Masala is a curry that traditionally has chicken pieces that are cooked in a tandoor, (Tikka means pieces, chunks or bits) that has a creamy tomato, coriander and spice sauce.
There are lots of different variations to the standard Tikka Masala which makes this dish versatile as it can be tailored to suit your tastes. Whether you like it with lots of chilli, or made with a yoghurt or coconut base or even with added peas or potatoes, it can be a crowd pleaser.
Sometimes the chicken is charred or browned before the chicken cooks in the creamy, spicy sauce but in my home we do it the easy way. When we are busy but we still want that delicious Tikka Masala sauce we ...
...simply place the chicken pieces straight into the slow cooker and add decadent coconut cream, spices, tomatoes and creamy, soft potatoes... and it turns out amazing! 😃
